             Is a Certified Service Dog

He heels, sits, does a down position, doesn't jump up, comes on command even with other dogs. He is amazing! Even better than our other 2 poodles who this same girl trained. She gives praise sparingly and she says he is a "sweet, stable dog".  Stable is the most important praise she can give because she works with a lot of dogs who are spooky or unpredictable. When we were looking for a puppy, she actually told us that we should not get a poodle bred in California because our 2 previous dogs ( father and son) were the only 2 "Stable" poodles she had worked with from California. So I am sure that if she knows anyone looking for a poodle pup she would recommend yours.

We will keep you updated about Ditto's progress. Do the others lick you alot to show affection? Ditto sure does - we feel like we get daily baths! He is also the very best at chewing NOTHING but his toys - the very least destructive puppy one could imagine!

Keep us  updated,
Suzy

P.S. He is a favorite at the beach where we take him to run and play. He loves all people and dogs. He does, however, avoid the ocean at all costs and does not follow all the labs and water dogs into the ocean.  While we were urging him into the river and ponds in Wyoming we have not urged the ocean - as a wet poodles with sand in his coat does not make a great house dog !! Water will have to wait for Wyoming!

Hey, Corrie-

Hope things have been going well for you.  I want to give you a little Calli update.  She now weighs 23#.  She started puppy class last week.  She sits dependably and is learning to heel, come, "no", down and stay.  I have been taking her for hikes up on the mountain and shorter walks down by the river, as well as downtown.  Her retrieving is getting reliable as well, especially with the Frisbee and the flying squirrel toy.
She has had her first haircut.  My poodle blade was pretty dull, so I had to use the Airedale blade on her, and she looks pretty shaggy.  I'll try to get a more current picture of her after her haircut.  I am sending you a couple of older pictures, taken before the haircut.  Hope you enjoy them.  I'll send new ones when I get them.
More later-

Katana and his buddy

Hi Corrie:
Katana is doing just great!. His teeth are perfect, and the Vet said he is a beautiful example of his breed. He, and Kikko are the best of buddies, and besides being spoiled he is Our constant, and close companion, and yes another very special baby.  Here are a couple of pictures, Thank You Again   Bill & Laurie Willard

Hi Corrie.

We sent Cappi to bird training for two months.  Mark has always wanted a bird dog, but didn't have the time to get it done.  She has always shown signs of being very birdy (even caught a grackle for me one day) so we decided to send her where a friend had taken his dog.  It is Plum Creek in South Dakota.  There is actually a picture of her on the web site http://www.dogpro.net/.  You'll see her in the middle of the page with a group of dogs (obviously she's on the left).  She did quite well for the 'demonstration' of finding and flushing the birds.  One that didn't fly was retrieved.  We were also told she was a favorite of the trainer's four year old granddaughter.
Since she's been back (the night of Friday the 11th) she's been hunting Sept. 12th and 13th(Mark shot four blue grouse over her), and again on the 19th (two more blue grouse).  She did better at retrieving the second time, but worked a little too far ahead.  I guess that is an indication of excitement.  The picture is from the second hunting trip (Mark lost my camera after taking pictures from the first trip).
Megan would like to have her become a therapy dog, and while she has not done any training, she often takes her to tennis practice and work. Needless to say, we are very happy to have her back and she has not been left alone since her return!
I enjoyed reading that Dora is hunting also!  And I am excited for the lucky owners of the new pups.
Good luck with the dogs and litters.  Janet

Loki with Mom and Dad

He is so social and loves people especially little kids.  He saw a little kid on the TV screen (I kid you not) and looked behind the set to find the boy!  He's a thinker.

Corrie, I know you know all this, but your dogs are awesome.......can't wait to get him in the water and the snow.  We want to be very proud of him......In class he sits obedient as listening to the teacher.  He knows she has treats.  He can sit and lay down using sign language and speak on command.  Walking on a loose leash pretty well too.

And yes, he's still sleeping on the bed with us!

We'll take some more pictures of him and forward them to you.

Thanks again!

Mark, Jodee and Loki
